Miasino Jazz Festival

From July 31 to August 2, 2026, the Miasino Classic Jazz Festival returns to the shores of Lake Orta, bringing three evenings of exceptional live music to the enchanting setting of Villa Nigra in Miasino.

Founded in 2001 by Pro Loco Miasino thanks to the dedication of Andreina Gemelli, the festival has grown into a renowned event for jazz enthusiasts, combining outstanding performances with the celebration of the area’s cultural heritage and unique landscape.

The 2026 edition opens on Friday, July 31, at 9 pm with Sarah Jane Morris & Solis String Quartet and their show “Forever Young”. The acclaimed British singer will take audiences on a journey through blues, pop, and jazz, exploring songs connected to some of the most influential artists who shaped music history, including Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and Otis Redding.

On Saturday, August 1, at 9 pm, The Swingers Orchestra will present “Songs for Ladies”, a tribute to the legendary female voices of jazz, including Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughan. The performance will also feature Nicoletta Fabbri, accompanied by an octet of musicians from the historic Rai Orchestra.

The festival’s closing evening, on Sunday, August 2, at 8:30 pm, will be dedicated to “Gli strumenti del cuore” (“The Instruments of the Heart”), a project highlighting the social power of music. Young musicians from Italian music high schools will perform as part of an initiative bringing lecture-concerts to hospitals and healthcare facilities, showing how music can become a tool for connection, support, and inclusion. Admission will be by voluntary donation.

All concerts will take place at Villa Nigra and will continue even in the event of rain, thanks to the venue’s covered performance area. Tickets for the concerts on July 31 and August 1 are €25 and can be purchased in advance through Ciaotickets.
