On Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 9:00 PM, Piazza Motta in Orta San Giulio will come alive with Numero Uno, a special musical event celebrating the story of the iconic record label that helped shape the sound of Italian music.
Titled Numero Uno with Battisti and Beyond… The Story of the Label That Changed Italian Music, the performance offers a journey through the songs, artists, and creative vision behind one of Italy’s most influential record labels. The evening will pay special tribute to Lucio Battisti, while also highlighting the other musicians who contributed to this extraordinary chapter in Italy’s musical heritage.
Organized by Borgatta’s Factory and Sunrise APS Musica&Cultura, with the patronage of the Municipality of Orta San Giulio, the event is a unique opportunity to experience live music in the enchanting setting of Piazza Motta, one of the most picturesque spots on the shores of Lake Orta.
Free admission, open to all ages, and with no reservation required, the event welcomes locals, travellers, and music enthusiasts for a memorable summer evening by the lake.
Piazza Motta lies at the heart of Orta San Giulio’s historic center, overlooking the tranquil waters of Lake Orta. Reaching the square is part of the charm: wander through the village’s cobbled streets and you’ll pass elegant historic buildings, picturesque corners, and inviting cafés, all steeped in the timeless atmosphere of an Italian lakeside village.
If you’re arriving by car, parking is available at the entrance to the village. From there, it’s a pleasant stroll through the traffic-free historic center to the square.
Travelling by train? Orta-Miasino railway station is about 2 km from the center. You can either take a local bus or enjoy a scenic walk that leads through the village to the lakeside.
