Orta San Giulio is getting ready for an evening of music, dancing, and entertainment with the “Silent Disco”, taking place on Friday, July 31, 2026, in the charming setting of Piazza Motta. The event is organised by the Pro Loco of Orta San Giulio, with the support of the Municipality of Orta San Giulio.
Starting at 9:30 PM, the square will turn into a lively open-air dance floor where guests can enjoy a unique musical experience. Wearing wireless headphones, participants will be able to choose their favourite music channel from a selection of classic hits and contemporary tracks, creating their own personal soundtrack for the night.
What makes a Silent Disco truly special is the freedom to dance and enjoy music at full volume through headphones while keeping the surrounding atmosphere peaceful and immersive. This innovative format allows everyone to choose their own rhythm while sharing the excitement and energy of a collective celebration.

Piazza Motta lies at the heart of Orta San Giulio’s historic center, overlooking the tranquil waters of Lake Orta. Reaching the square is part of the charm: wander through the village’s cobbled streets and you’ll pass elegant historic buildings, picturesque corners, and inviting cafés, all steeped in the timeless atmosphere of an Italian lakeside village.
If you’re arriving by car, parking is available at the entrance to the village. From there, it’s a pleasant stroll through the traffic-free historic center to the square.
Travelling by train? Orta-Miasino railway station is about 2 km from the center. You can either take a local bus or enjoy a scenic walk that leads through the village to the lakeside.
