On 25 July at 7:45 pm, the gardens of Villa Bossi, home to Orta San Giulio Town Hall, will host Riflessi d’Opera, an immersive adaptation of Verdi’s La Traviata that reimagines the traditional opera experience. Rather than remaining on stage, the performers move among the audience, transforming the gardens into part of the set and drawing spectators into the unfolding story.
Created by Gianmaria Aliverta and VoceAllOpera, the production retells the story of Violetta, Alfredo and Giorgio Germont in a chamber arrangement for three principal singers and string quartet. The cast features Maria Kosovitsa, Haruo Kawakami and Gustavo Castillo, while the role of Annina will be performed by an audience member selected on the evening.
After the first part of the performance, ticket holders will board a private boat for the short crossing to the enchanting San Giulio Island, where the final act will unfold against one of Lake Orta’s most atmospheric backdrops.
The performance lasts approximately two and a half hours. Tickets are available through TicketOne. In the event of bad weather, the performance will take place at the Oratorio Sacro Cuore, Via Gabriele Galli.
Located in the public gardens of Villa Bossi, home to Orta San Giulio’s Town Hall, the experience takes place in the heart of the village’s historic centre.
If you’re arriving by car, you’ll find several car parks at the entrance to the village. From there, it’s just a short walk to the venue.
As the experience includes a boat transfer, guests are encouraged to arrive a little early. This allows plenty of time to reach the performance area at a leisurely pace and enjoy the evening from the very beginning.
